Play and the role of Playworkers

A project to capture, the reactions and stories of teachers training in the value of Play.

I documented them discovering and questioning their own beliefs about childhood and their methods of teaching. It was really interesting to watch them reflect on their own values of play and how it really feels to be at school.

My favourite image is the one where I was drawing a teacher playing with clay and creating her own creature to be left in the playground. Her fellow teachers were so impressed by it and so moved and said “I didn’t know this about you.” To which she said “I didn’t know this about me.” I feel like that just sums up the workshops and the power of play in learning.
